Fernando Fernandez:
I have the
impression that there are some good discussions on the liferay
community slack that should be made public because they could
      help other people later.

It seems to me that having support threads through slack
diminishes the value of these forums, since you cannot google
      slack content.

Hi Fernando,

I am fully on your side (and, for this - and other - reason(s) not on
  Slack at all).

In the end: Whatever helps the community is good - I understand that
many people "live" on slack these days, and I trust that
anybody who asks a question will be helped there quickly. The drawback
is exactly what you write here: It's only those that ask who get
helped. Quite often people here answer to a question that had its last
answer in 2012, signalling that they googled this content and found
here because people had similar problems.

I'd like to see this solved as well. Not sure if "moving off of
slack" is realistic, but I'd prefer to have a single watering hole.
