Hi Team,

I have configured remote staging and published from staging server. It has replaced all the content and page setup on live server with staging server. So is there any possibility to get that data back?

Thanks,
Anil T

As a professional you have backups of your database and data directory. Restore from those backups after disabling remote staging.

That's right David but we were just testing on our test servers. So am asking is there any possibility to restore? It seems we can do only from the backup database and data repository.

Restore what?

With staging, you lay everything out that you plan to publish and present on the live side. When you publish, you're saying you're ready for the staged content to go live.

There's no "undo" or anything. You're basically saying you're approving the staged content going live.

What kind of restore do you want? An "Oops I wasn't really ready yet" button?

Hey Mohammed,I'm replying because you prompted me to from another thread. I'll be upfront here and say, staging is not a feature that I tend to leverage often. I think it has improved tremendously over the last few years, but I have been burned in the past so it has left me a little sour emoticon. I'm telling you this because it's all going from memory here.
From what I recall, under the hood, the way staging is managed is through a "multi-site" relationship. So you have a "staged" site so to speak, and a "live" site. Each will therefore have a corresponding groupId that you can use to lookup pages in the layout table. Question for you -- is you staging and live on the same server? or are you content authoring on "Server A" and then publishing to "Server B" ? (I ask because of your reference to remote server -- sometimes clients have used that term with me, but they just assumed that there were two servers involved when it was actually only one)
