URL rewrite problem
Hello. I recently used a YooTheme template to build a website in J4.
On my staging server, everything worked perfectly, however when
I moved the website to my client's server (using Akeeba Backup and
Kickstart), URL rewrite stopped working. All of the links in the menu
display as "404."
1. The SEF Rewrite is functional.
2.) The.htaccess file
appears to be in good condition.
3.) Attempting to # out
recommended lines in.htaccess didn't seem to have any impact.
Possible influencing factors
1. This is a special J4 installation that was placed inside a folder
of an already-existing website (https://norfolk-sheriff.com/jobs).
I've successfully done this before, so I had anticipated that it would
also work here.
2. The J4 installation's websiteon which the J4
installation is installed was created in J3; I haven't been able to
update it because one of the key extensions utilised hasn't yet been
upgraded to J4 functionalitywhich makes me extremely angry.
3.)
URL and SEF rewriting are successful on the parent sitethe parent
site, URL and SEF rewriting are successful.
If I disable URL Rewrite, everything functions as intended. The site looks great and works perfectly, however I can't seem to get rid of the dreaded "index.php" from my URLs.
Anyone with ideas or knowledge to share?
sincerely appreciated
