Eclipse Liferay IDE republishing to server...
Hello Liferay Community,
I am trying to develop some modules for
liferay 7.3 CE. For some reason every time I want to republish my
changes from ONE module to the server my IDE/Server is trying to
republish my entire project (+20 other modules) aswell.
This
means I have to wait like 5-10 minutes to until the republish action
is completely done. EVERY TIME.
I am using the Liferay Eclipse IDE (Liferay Developer
Studio, Version: 3.9.0.202010130127-ga1).
What I have tried so far:
- turn off auto publish in the server settings (double click on
the server in servers view)
- Window -> preferences ->
Server -> Launching -> uncheck 'Automatically publish when
starting servers'
- Window -> preferences -> Server ->
Overlays -> uncheck 'Automatically republish servers on overlay
modifications'
I have experienced similar behaviour on
-
server startup
- gradle refresh
- redeploying only one
module via the servers view in eclipse
What am I doing wrong?
Sometimes only my modified module is redeployed/republished and
sometimes the entire project with more than 20 modules is
republished.
I want to stop my server from republishing my
entire project every now and then. What triggers the server to do a
full republish?
Please, can anybody tell me why this is happening and what I
should do to prevent an entire republish?
Working like this is really frustrating.
Have a good one,
Fredi
