Hello Friends,

I am using Liferay 6.2 ce GA2.
I want to show(preview) and edit option of .doc, .ppt, .xls etc. files in Document and Media.
I know liferay preview only image and pdf but i want to preview all above file.
How can i do it?

To enable preview for these files you will need to integrate Open Office.

Hi Sushil,

I have integrate Open office but with the open office i can only preview and convert document can't edit it.
I want to edit document and save it.
In short i want document editor.

Hi srini vasulu

As My requirement was little bit different, Actually I want to preview and edit my document.

As i integrated OpenOffice I am able to see (preview) my document with .doc, .pdf , etc.. format.
If you need only document preview you can go with OpenOffice.

Hi Srini,

No yet.

I have not find solutions for document edit in liferay till yet.

If you find in market place their is one application but it's for only EE version.

This could be a good option for you, provided you are on a Windows OS with MS Office installed over MS browser: https://dev.liferay.com/discover/portal/-/knowledge_base/6-2/microsoft-office-integration

Hi Nirav,

It work's for you only preview or editing functionality also? if editing also Please let me know what is the procedure for edit documents.
