A portal (omni) administrator should be allowed to pickup any workflow task and assign it to users who are allowed by the specific workflow definition to approve it.

This shall be achieved independently of the workflow definition, and without implying that the omniadmin is allowed to approve them.

General business case: a user is withdrawn from the portal, but he/she still has assigned tasks to approve.

In this case such tasks gets stale and nobody can pick them, unless the workflow definition allows the omni to pick and approve. But the omniadmin is only an administrative user, then approving a specific task is out of duties.

Hi Francesco, there is a way to do this in Liferay DXP, if I understand your request. Use Workflow Metrics. See this documentation. It's a bit of a workaround but it should allow you to do what you're asking about. The other workaround, I guess, would be to always assign the administrator role to your tasks.
