Is it simple to modify a request's URL using one of the tools at hand? I want to remove the first part of the /context in one circumstance. For instance:

path initially used: /foo/bar/operation

Tool modifies /bar/operation's path.

Not sure about the exact use case, but if redirections help: They're freely configurable for each site.

Also, if you set a site's virtual host to match the domain that you're using, you can omit the /web/sitename or /group/sitename part of a URL, leaving you with 100% flexibility on the URL
