Can't add LDAP server in Instance Settings of Liferay Portal
I'm using a Docker file 7.4.3.4-ga4 and I try to add a LDAP server on Instance Settings.
When I click on the ADD button nothing happend
Hi Antony,
Is there any error in the log? Can you share that?
Zsigmond
I don't have a error in the log:
I was trying to setup LDAP connection with the Liferay portal using this youtube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTqZHwjQLIc
But when I want to Add a LDAP server I don't get a form to configure the LDAP server.
I checked even in the tomcat logs, but the Add button doesn't give any action calls.
Hi Antony,
Then, it's hard to say anything. :-) Any error in browser console?
I've not experienced that it would have not worked. However, I haven't tested with a docker image thatt's true. If it doesn't work, there must be some sign somewhere. I would need something for further ideas.
Is it working with a Tomcat bundle? (I tested that and it worked to me)
Zsigmond
I don't get any error In the browser console in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
If I got any errorthen I could investigate further.
I'm running the Liferay docker file in a docker version 2.4 on a Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS.
Please check your ControlPanel / Configuration / Instance Settings / Pages / Redirect URL, specifically the allowed domains/IPs and the security mode.
I changed it to these settins above, but the Add button still
not work.
Beside Olaf's previous suggestion, we've just checked that to be sure, and it works to us. I know there is no error in the log, but that may still show something useful so we can take a look at that if you share that.
