RE: What time does Liferay check for new assets and sends emails to users?
I have Liferay 6.2 EE GA2 edition. Asset publishers are configured to email notifications when assets are updated/added. From Liferay documnetation I know that Liferay Liferay periodically checks for new assets and sends emails to subscribed users informing them about the new assets. By default, Liferay performs this check every twenty-four hours. How and where can I find what time Liferay performs the check and sends emails?
Thank you.
On 6.2 I think you'll need to set the portal property
asset.publisher.check.interval=24
On later versions I see the setting in System Settings > Assets > Asset Publisher: Check Interval
I guess I was not clear - the default interval is fine. We are OK with 24 hours. My question was what time the check will be performed and emails will be sent?
Ahh sorry, now I see what you mean. I don't have the answer to that, but perhaps this thought experiment helps: If I was to update the property to have a value of 1 hour, I'd expect that an hour later the check will happen. So, I don't expect it's a specific time that the check happens, but instead at the same time that the value of that property was first read. I am guessing at this, though.
I think your guess is right.
Thank you very much.
