hi

i am using lifery 7.3

do any one knwo how to re-write language selecor? and i want replace the flag icon to target language word or hide the flag, but i do not know where can a create an hook to do it.

and second question is, i cannot find the word in <portal-impl.jar>\content\Language.properties, is it in other jar?

Hi ,

You can customise Language Portlet by creating your own widget template for it .

https://help.liferay.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029132571-Styling-Widgets-with-Widget-Templates.

And Language file you may need to check indiviual module for labels .

Ex. Process Builder and submission this you can find in portal-workflow module

and i really do not wont complicated like that.  

does it have any way just invisible all flag? like set a porperite in portal-ext.properties?

and i read article

Here Is How To Add New Language Support To Liferay 7.1

but i cannot find project type: activator

is there any way i can change language like the language hook i used before and do not need chage the oregional jar(portal-impl.jar)?

There are predefined template available for Language Portlet which you can select for removing language icon , you can  goto-> configuraton->Display Setting -> Display Template->Select Long Text/Short text.

but i cannot edit it in home(front) page, only in my dashboard, where can i config it and make all server's language selector's default?
