UI issues for certain characters after the upgrade

UI issues for certain characters after the upgrade

We recently performed Liferay upgrade from Liferay 7.1.10 to Liferay DXP 7.1 Fix Pack 20. The upgrade was successful.

After the upgrade, we noticed the following issues in the UI.

1. § is displayed as §
2. ’ is displayed as ’
3. ” is displayed as “

Any help on how to resolve it, would be greatly appreciated!

Are the database servers the same, or is it possible that the character set used in the collation are different?

Hi Vilmos,

Thanks for your response. We havent changed the database servers, its the same database server before and after the patching. We also verified the character set at database level is utf8.

I have seen this happen in 7.3. I feel like it's a CK Editor issue.

Again I voice support for moving away from CK Editor.
