Hi,

 

I see there is a know issue with Liferay and using a verions that has a number greater than 255 in the version.

What is the fix for this? I assume there is a patch we can install into JBoss.

The bug you link to refers to Liferay 6.2 EE - and it's marked as resolved, so there should be a patch for it available on customer portal.
If you're running on 6.2 CE: Its service time is long over and you should consider to upgrade to a later version. That will be more than a patch, but almost 5 years after the successor was released was quite some time to consider an upgrade to a current version
