RE: RE: few question about 7.3 ce (just upgrade from 6.2)
hi
i just upgrade to 7.3 from 6.2.
it's big jump to me and i have few questions.
1. where can i find "Countrol Panel"? i really miss old version, do we have an panel for search user and manage role, org...
2. in old version, i have to create an ext project, it will include portal-ext.properties and system-ext.properties, in workspace of 7.3, i found it have 3 different files for different purpose, should i maintain those 3? and should i add system-ext.properties in those folders?
4. how about language hook and landing page hook?
can anyone share how to start with it.
thank you.
Control Panel is in the Waffle Menu ("Application Menu" or "Global Menu"), top row (I always blank on the name of that component - might be Control Menu): It opens on "Applications" first, but has a "Control Panel" link.
If you like the "classic" Control Panel (as it has been there since at least 7.0 - I can't remember 6,2's appearance): You can go to System Settings, search for "Menu" and disable the Application Menu there. This will bring back the classic appearance
The config directory that you're listing is for the different environments, if you build complete bundles (or docker images): You can have different configurations in your dev, prod or other environments. That's why there are many.
For the various hooks, they typically have their equivalent in the OSGi world. You'll find templates for various on github. There's not necessarily a 1:1 relationship, so if you have more concrete questions (e.g. "how to achieve X?") please ask separate, more concrete questions. And make sure to describe X in good detail (e.g. preferably: what do you want to achieve, rather than what you have implemented in 6.2)
thank you, i find the control panel.
and i create another thread to make my question more clear.
again, thank you.
