RE: Not allowing to add child organization
Hello Friends,
I am working on Liferay 7.2 SP1.
I have added custom Organization Type
1. Organization > Child - Organization, ABC
2. ABC > Child - ABC, XYZ
3. XYZ > Child - XYZ
SO, While creating organization under ABC it's throwing error as below,
ERROR [https-jsse-nio-443-exec-51][OrganizationTypesSettingsImpl:119]
Unable to get organization type:
organization
com.liferay.portal.kernel.exception.OrganizationParentException$MustNotHaveChildren:
Organization of type ABC must not have children
Please help me to resolve the issue.
Thanks in Advance
Hi ,
Have u added Organization Children Types in System Setting -> Users -> Organization Types for ABC , as per error its shows ABC cannot have child Organization Type.
Try setting organization childrens type for ABC as below, also check whether you are creating organization type org under ABC
I have tried same but not able to create organization. It's showing same error.
I fired up a 7.2 SP3 and was able to configure new organization types like the ones you listed, in System Settings. No errors when adding an org of the new tye, or a child org of the new type.
Upgrade time?
For posterity, here are the docs on org types: https://learn.liferay.com/dxp/7.x/en/users-and-permissions/organizations/adding-a-new-organization-type.html
