RE: When timeout and product menu blank, have a message to the user
Again a simple one but ongoing since DXP. The time out message isn't always there, particularly if a customization has occurred. The issue is that the product menu will open blank after a time out and the product menu itself doesn't contain messaging about the time out. So to the user the product looks broken.
Expected: A better messaging method where the HTML of the product menu / add menu is affected to alert the user as a back up to the timeout toast.

For me and my customers it is terribly annoying when I write something and the timeout occurs. The message vanishes, I never see it and I click save. Peng.
My point is: The timeout message is one thing. Another thing is that I lose content when my sessions times out (or something else happens). Knowing that my session has timed out is helpful, even better would be a dialog that would tell me: "Uh, dear friend, you are not authenticated anymore. Please click here to login again." That way, I as an author would not lose my content and could continue to work.
This might even replace the current notification.

All day everyday for four years now. Constant complaints of lost work, we can't do anything about it so we tell users not to use Liferay to write content and to author externally. Which now, also crap on us ... copy paste is awful in Alloy Editor. So poo-poo all around.
