Hi All,I am using DXP 7.2 .Earlier i am able to start the tomcat and working fine.After i  some  time when i am trying to start the portal i am getting below error.
You must first upgrade the portal to the required schema version 5.1.0

Can any body tell us.What can be the reason for this.

Hi Pankaj,Starting in 7.0 we have a separate tool to execute upgrades. Everything is explained in the documentation:https://portal.liferay.dev/docs/7-2/deploy/-/knowledge_base/d/upgrading-to-product-ver
There you will see that you need to go to 6.2 first and then to 7.2 when coming from 5.x

You'll most likely need to run the upgrade tool. The DXP release notes for SP1 state this explicitly (SP1 is synonymous with FP2). Same for CE 7.2 GA1 to GA2, where I didn't find the explicit mention immediately. The upgrade routines don't come with the stock installation any more

Sorry Pankaj, I misread your first message. Olaf is right, you need the upgrade tool for the SP1, it's not common for SP but we require it in this case. Anyway, the upgrade processes are light and they will run fast.
