RE: Login as another user
Hello,
I would like to know if there is a feature "login as" in liferay 6.2?
I would give the possibility to a user with administrator profile, to "see" my portal as if authenticated as another user (security, access rights, ...)
Is that possible in liferay? If not how can I develop this feature? Knowing that I only have the username and not the password of the "second" user.
Thank you for your feedback.
Tony.

Login as another user is a good idea but the thing is that with out password do you think this is a good idea..?
with out password and you got a userId or Login Id of other person, then their are more chances of miss-using of that Id once think of it..

This is exactly what i wanted ^^
Thanks
Would definitely be helpful to have a role that allowed groups of authorized users to "alter the author name" in a workflow before publishing and without impersonating or doing a login as that person. There is a real need for this functionality across all parts of the portal. Particularly with blogs, the author might need to be generic and not the person logged in who is publishing, might be publishing on behalf of an exec or just want the author name to be the publication name like "generic blog weekly".
Just a new field such as "author alias" that could then be checked in a workflow and approved before publish??
