RE: 7.3 - M1 : Suggestion > Bulk Add Pages
As a site admin I may know that I want 10 sections each with 20 pages under them. Creating this page by page is a time drag. I know that all pages are going to be widget pages. Rather than doing the same thing 200 times, can we not have a bulk add pages so in this case to create my site I can speed up the time it takes to create this IA (information architechture). Then it becomes a case of just needing to rename the created pages.

Hey Lee,
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. In fact, facilitating this type of creation/management "at scale" is going to be one of our key areas of focus for 7.3.
Could you create a Feature Request for it so that we can continue the conversation there once we get to it?

Yes I can see the evolution for this going very well for 7.3, with 7.2 remaining very much a manually create your pages kind of thing.
I'd like to take a breather and think about automation of creating pages / naviagtion menus (keeping primary navigation as automatically based off the page heiracy is still very much needed). A site template is often nice, but I've found particulary across 500 sites it's often hard to anticpiate what the site admin is going to do or what they are going to need. I can offer generic templates but the kind of crazy deep document indexes I see our user create is hard to anticipate and varies based on what section of our business is organizing and buiding a site. Some are very much limited by having to manually do everything. Some users are extremely well organized and structure document folders very well, some users don't even use child pages or create folders at all.
Being an intranet we're at times basically an "index of links" you come to an intranet page to find information and documents quickly, but on the flipside there can be project sites and general communication sites that often make use of wiki, blogs and forums.
Because of that I think automated building of site pages could benefit from being based on the vocabularies so a site admin is encouraged to think about how they want to organize their information first ... this would then naturally boost the usage of categories tags and asset publisher.

Sounds very interesting.
Let's keep talking about this. And maybe once 7.2 is out we can set up a call and discuss in more detail with some additional team members.
Thanks Lee!
