Liferay 7.1 - JAX-RS web service without OAUTH
In Liferay 7.0 it was possible to have a JAX-RS web service with basic authentication. It was done by defining the corresponding Rest Extender and CXF endpoint. It is explained for example in the following link: https://community.liferay.com/es/blogs/-/blogs/liferay-jax-rs-service
After much research I see(https://www.xtivia.com/liferay-dxp-upgrade/) that this is no longer possible in Liferay 7.1 and any implementation has to be done through OAUTH 2.0. I'm right?. If I wanted to upgrade a REST service with basic auth from 7.0 to 7.1, would I have to upgrade the authentication?.
Thank you very much in advance!.

I answer to myself ...
I think this link has confused me (https://www.xtivia.com/liferay-dxp-upgrade/). It is said that it is not possible, at least in the DXP. However, doing a small proof of concept, we see that it can be done, at least in the community version.
So now the question is: is it a limitation of the DXP version?
Regards!
