RE: Bad Gateway error in Remote publishing.
Hi Team,
We have enabled the remote publishing for our application as we are trying to push content from staging to remote live.We abled to make connection
from stating to live .But when we click on Remote publish button its show loading message and at last we get Bad Gateway error. This look to me due to
huge volume of data. Can you help me how we can handle this type of scenario in case of huge data.We are using Liferay 6.2
Thanks & Regards,
Pankaj Semwal
Bad gateway is not always attributed to data volume.
I would check if you are trying to use a web server in front of the app server, that everything is properly configured so a) the traffic is allowed through to the app server and b) that the app server is configured to allow the connection from the web server instead of the staging server.
A quick way to identify source of issue, point directly at the app server from the staging app server, bypassing the web tier. If you can publish that way, it points to the web tier as the issue, otherwise the problem would point to Liferay and possibly the data problem.
Thanks David for your response. We have also another site which have less data volume for that site we are able to do the remote publish with same environment setting.
Hi All[],
Do we have any property in Liferay which display data of specific period for remote publish.
Thanks & Regards,
Pankaj Semwal

The publish screen gives you the option to choose a date range, but Liferay won't tell you what data that date range will include.
