I'm trying to install LiferayProjectSDK with Developer Studio CE for Windows x86 on a Windows 10 x86 workstation. During Installation wizard I've selected Oracle jdk 1.8.0 I've already installed. The post installation step return the error shown in the attached screenshot.

I've tried executed the installation command reported in the error window manually but it doesn't accept the -u init parameter.

Does anyone had the same issue?

Hello Denis,

Have you installed multiple JDKs on your machine? Could you please provide the installed JDK versions?

And please try to go to the installation directory directly, and extract Studio zip file. It should ready to go.

Thanks,

Ashley

Hi Ashley,

yes on my PC (Windows 10 64bit) I have installed both Oracle jdk 1.8.0_181 and Oracle jdk1.7.0_80 (both 64bit without JRE).

During installation the Installer only detect and prompt for Oracle jsk 1.8.0_181.

I've uninstalled jdk 1.7.0 and the installation now has completed successfullty.

It's seems a multiple JDK related issue.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Denis.

Hi Denis,

No problem. And this is going to be fixed in next release soon.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Regards,

Ashley

Yes, it's fixed in the Liferay Project SDK from 2018.09.14. It's available here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lportal/files/Liferay%20IDE/3.3.1%20GA2/

Thanks!
