It's theoretically possible, provided your company policy gives you
permission to do so (sometimes companies have policies regarding where
files are allowed to exist, particularly now with GDPR compliance),
since it doesn't involve anything more than validating a typical
disaster recovery scenario, just your own local machine is where you
are restoring the data.
However, it might not be practically possible if the connection speed
is too slow. So, assuming everything else checks out, how fast is the
connection between your own computer and your Liferay server?
