Bundles and other download options

If you are used to binary releases, you can find the Liferay Portal 7.4 GA60 and Liferay Commerce 4.0 GA60 release on the download page.  If you need additional files (for example, the source code, or dependency libraries), visit the release page.

Dependency Management

For development using the Liferay Platform, update Liferay Workspace to use the  latest dependencies, by adding the following line to the build.gradle file:

dependencies {
	compileOnly group: "com.liferay.portal", name: "release.portal.api"

All portal dependencies are now defined with a single declaration. When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis are immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.

By setting a product info key property it will be possible to update all dependencies to a new version by updating the liferay.workspace.product property in the liferay workspace projects file:

liferay.workspace.product = portal-7.4-ga60

When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis are immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.

User Notification In Notification Templates and Actions

Now, admin users can configure in the system notifications that a user will receive related to object entries. For example, after a Ticket is submitted, users with the Support role receive a custom notification directly on DXP.

Standalone Actions

Admin users can configure pre-defined actions to be triggered by a dedicated endpoint with dedicated permissions. Allowing them to provide those actions to be used through the API directly or to be used in a custom experience. For example: add a button in a page with the “Aprove” action, where it moves the state of the entry to Approved.

Since there is no direct link from the StagedModel types to their managing AdminPortlets, we had to invent a new method to do that. First attempts included modifications of the StagedModelDataHandler interface, but it later turned out that no such kernel-level modification is needed.

All documentation for Liferay Portal and Liferay Commerce can now be found on our documentation site:  For more information on upgrading to Liferay Portal 7.4 GA60 see refer to the Upgrade Overview.

Fixes and Known Issues

Greetings, in this version I need to do SSO with an IDP OpenIdConnect (keycloak). I have configured and enabled an OpenId Connect provider in the instance configurations but nothing appears in the login form.

I tried with an older version, 7. GA22. It works fine.

What can i do?
