Liferay Portal and Liferay Commerce share the same Bundle and
Docker image. To get started using either Liferay Portal or Liferay
Commerce, choose the best download option suited for your environment below.
To use Liferay Portal 7.4 GA25:
docker run -it -p 8080:8080 liferay/portal:188.8.131.52-ga25
For more information on using the official Liferay docker image
see the liferay/portal repo on Docker Hub.
If you are used to binary releases, you can find the Liferay
Portal 7.4 GA25 and Liferay Commerce 4.0 GA25 release on the
download page. If you need additional files (for example, the
source code, or dependency libraries), visit the release page.
For development using the Liferay Platform, update Liferay
Workspace to use the latest dependencies, by adding the following
line to the build.gradle file:
compileOnly group: "com.liferay.portal", name: "release.portal.api"
All portal dependencies are now defined with a single
declaration. When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis
are immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.
By setting a product info key property it will be possible to
update all dependencies to a new version by updating the
liferay.workspace.product property in the liferay
workspace projects gradle.property file:
liferay.workspace.product = portal-7.4-ga25
When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis are
immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.
The quantity selector will have a "danger status" when
the quantity is not valid for an order. A popup will show the
unsatisfied constrains where minimum quantity is required. The
quantity selector will be on focus, which together provides a better
user experience for the buyer in guidance on next steps.
Now users can search for widget pages using the search widget.
The widget pages content is not indexed, but so it does its title
and categories. This way widget pages are also retrieved as search results.
Now admin users can also manage files collectively and define a
specific path to store the files uploaded for objects directly from
the end-user computer. This folder will be available on Documents
& Medias and can be accessed by the allowed users.
Additionally, admin users still have the possibility to configure the
file type and size allowed for the object.
Make it much clearer when you enter Production mode by providing
a warning and forcing users to confirm before they enter that mode.
