The robots.txt file on a site controls what google will index. Re-ggogle for "liferay robots.txt" and you should find relevant info.
Thanks David,
I had done same as you mention but could not find the actual path where can i get the the robots.txt file.
I am using liferay 6.1.2 EE Tomcate.

You won't find robots.txt as a file, it's dynamically generated. Google for “Liferay robots.txt” to find how to set it up.
