For my existing portal which is in liferay 6.1.1 right now needs to be migrated in liferay 6.2.
I have below queries for the same
- Has liferay provided step by step migration procedure for this?
- Which precautions we require to take before migrating?
- How to migrate custom portlets, hooks to new system?
- has liferay provided some migration tool to make this process easier (Migration of custom portlets or hooks)
- How database can be migrated to new one. (We have some custom tables present. so is there any sql script to achieve successful db migration?)
- We have used custom theme which also needs to be upgraded to responsive theme for Liferay 6.2
As liferay 6.1 has used older version of AUI and no Bootstrap, where as Liferay has used AUI2.0 with Bootstrap, then how to convert this in easy way? - is Liferay 6.2 is stable and Bug free right now compared to liferay 6.1.1?
Please help me with for above queries, i hope this will be helpful to others as well.
Thanks in Advanced
Kind regards
Shahid
