I am interested in having all of the text on a page be the default font-size rather than text that visitors with poorer eyesight than mine may have trouble reading. The approach I have been using was, initially, to comment out stuff in the CSS area that would cause smaller font sizes, but this appears not to make that much of the text on the screen appear at the default or higher font size.

How can I go about changing and/or removing inline styles that appear in portlets? On a Unix-like system, is grepping followed by global keyword search and replace in JSP files appropriate? If I should be taking another approach, what is it?

Hey Jonathan,

If you find inline styles defining font sizes, or anything else for that
matter... can you file a bug report? We shouldn't have any of those in
the stock portal code.

I'm wondering, though, if maybe these are styles being applied through
jQuery (javascript styling). Either way... we really don't want to have
inline style font sizing defined anywhere...

hmmm, I just found 79 matches in 36 files in trunk...

I'll file the report, listing my results. I'll post the LEP#.

Thank you. After I commented out all CSS (in theme stylesheets) specifying a font-size smaller than the default, the majority of the text which was part of a portlet and on the screen was smaller.

We're working off a modified form of the Classic theme; I think you should be able to reproduce the smaller text by making a modified Classic theme without any CSS specifying a smaller font, and then doing basic demos of the Journal suite and other portlets.
