RE: Canonical URLs for KB articles?

Hi!

does anyone know if it´s possible to give each knowledge base article a canonical URL? This feature comes automatically for web content (web pages). The reason I need this is because (as I already posted in many threads before) everytime I export/import my KB to another portal the articles receive new primKey values leaving my internal links broken.
I never received any answer/help concerning this problem so I thought maybe a canonical URL would do the trick? but how do I do that for KB articles? (and other non-"web content"-content)

thanks in advance

I think you're posting to the wrong forum. If you have features which you don't think isn't in the most recent version of liferay, post to the 7. Suggestion and Recommendation forum.

thanks for replying, I know about that forums too but actually I was hoping that this was a feature already included in liferay. My actual problem is that the internal links break after I export my KB to another portal because they receive new primKeys.
So does this mean that there´s currently no way of keeping my articles linked together after export? This would be bad but at least I knew that I don´t have to try any further :-D

I don 't think the link problem is just limited to KB. Unfortunately, liferay isn't designed too much with maintenance in mind.

I've have a tool to fix the link problem. I think you'll also be able to develop such a tool yourself because it's just replacing parts of the url.

Arigatou gozaimasu :-)

well I´m not a developer myself but I have a bunch of programmers around. You´re probably not allowed to share your tool or it´s sourcecode right? But maybe you could give me a hint as to what I need to ask them to do for me ? onegai simasu
