How to work around the Social Counter Bug?
Hi All,
We are bitten by the bug described and fixed in http://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-25749. We are using 6.1.0 CE GA1.
I would like to work-around this bug somehow. My initial idea was to create an ext plugin containing the patched code. However, it turns out that trunk contains too many changes to be reliably integrated into 6.1.0 CE GA1 base.
Do you have any alternative ideas on what to do in this situation (short of bying EE since that obviously is a solution).
Thanks in advance,
Dimitri

Well, the next release of CE is due out soon, from what I understand....
Next release of Liferay is planned somewhere near the end of this month. Instead of patching the GA1, you can try it out by building the current svn trunk.
Another option is hiring somebody to create a patch for you.

Thanks, I guess we will wait for the next release.
