RE: Request for URL Removal (www.example.com) from Website
Hi,
I hope this message finds you well. We are in the process of migrating away from the domain www.example.com and as part of this transition, we need to remove all references and links to this domain from our Liferay website.
We kindly request your guidance and assistance in achieving this task. Specifically, we would appreciate any instructions or recommendations on the best practices for removing the URL (www.example.com) from our website, this process will be implemented in the coming months.
Thanks
Thierry
Note: Original domain name masked with "example.com".
I'm unclear about what you're asking:
- Do you want to know how to permanently redirect traffic from an old domain to a new one? In that case, look up http redirection, with codes 301 and 302. Easily configured on your webserver
- Did you find references to your existing URL somewhere here on the forums, and would like them to be removed? (in that case, please find the proper steps in the Privacy Policy)
- Are you running a Liferay CE or DXP installation under an old name and would like to smoothly run under a new name? In that case: Please clarify
- Are you running a Liferay CE or DXP installation and would like to find content that mentions the old name, in order to update it? In that case: Please clarify.
- Did you just intend to spam with a link to your site? In that case: Go away
