Can Widget Pages use Master Templates?

Hello,

In version 7.3,  I created a widget page to test if any of the master templates can used and all I keep getting is a blank widget page without any of the master templates elements (header, footer and navigation).

So as per my question, Can Widget Pages use Master Templates?

It is possible to use Master page templates with Widget pages.  I seem to recall it had some issues in 7.3 and I seem to remember the issue you are referring to.  It works much better in 7.4 and https://liferay.dev/blogs is doing just that.

Thanks for the response. You are correct, in that it works fine in 7.4.

And, yes, there are some issues with 7.3,

Hello Jamie, 

 

I am trying to customize my widget pages via masterpage, and its only working partly.

I have a Masterpage which consists of header, some content-div & footer.

It works flawlessly on Content Pages, but on Widget Pages Liferay adds an extra div around the header, an extra div around the content & an extra div around the footer. Styles like "width: 100%" become pointless and the whole layout does not work.


 

Is this a bug? Are widget pages supposed to work with master pages & liferay will fix this?
