Where to find a working distribution for older Liferay Portals?
Hi all,
I'm just in the beginning of my liferay jurney and what I saw so far is pretty cool. But I'm stuck in my exploration trying to get the app builder running.
My fist approach was to just download the most recent Liferay (Community) Version 7.4.3 as the tomcat bundle with a local postgres.
I installed the App Builder there. So far, so good, but activation wasn't possible due to "stopped blacklisted module". I had a look into my Blacklists, but nope, nothing in there so there's maybe something else blocking me. I found that App Builder is available for Version 7.3.0 GA1+ and understood it as the lowest version but then found a post during a google research saying make sure that at least major and minor are met. So heading to github to download an older version. First try: downloaded 7.3.5 GA6 tomcat bundle, unpacked, ran from powershell on windows. -> Something went wrong with the hsql db from the beginning. But as the Server started I tried connecting to my postgres in the init screen without success... the hsql db wanted to stay. Second try: downloaded 7.3.0 GA1, unpacked, ran from powershell on windows. Guess what? No DB Error! So proceed to fill the form again, adding my db AND some classic_theme error happend.
So, do I miss something? How would you recommend me to install a running system that is capabale of taking the App Builder?
app builder seens be removed, but i read the blog, it will be relaunched in 7.4 in 2021.
Hi Scarletake,
but App Builder is available in the Marketplace for 7.3.x versions and it's 2022 and app builder seems not available for 7.4.
