Public and Private Pages for a Site not included in My Sites
Hello, so when I'm in Liferay 6.2 when clicking the "My Sites" drop-down you would see both Public and Private site pages as long as you were logged in and authenticated.
I'm now using Liferay 7.3 and if I create a site called "MyTestSite" and create both Private and Public pages, when I click MyTestSite under "My Sites" it defaults to the Public pages. How can we include options for both Public and Private pages under "My Sites" option in Liferay 7?? Is there a secret configuration I don't know about?
Hi Kevin, I don't have much experience with this, but I just tried it on 7.4, and I had to create a Navigation Menu for the site that included both the public and private page. Then I had to go into the Menu Display fragment configuration (I'm using a Content Page) and choose my new menu. Hopefully that helps.
Liferay are trying to remove private pages from the product. If you run 7.4 straight without upgrade you may find access to the feature is gone. If you upgrade from a previous version you may find things to be somewhat messed up.
Give them your feedback if you need private pages, so that we can hopefully stop private pages being leaked into the public page tree. Or at least we can make a valiant attempt at maintaining what we have and not cascading down into madness.
