And your problem is? Please describe what you did and what you expect. Did you check the logfiles (I expect, papercut has one too) for exceptions?
You could try to send a testmail (Control Panel -> Server Administration -> Script). I am not sure, if the following script works, I just searched for a testscript and this one looked fairly recent and basically reasonable:
