RE: Is anyone actually building anything in DXP/7.1?

I’ve been having issues with 7.1 from themes to content management to OSGI dependency resolution. Seems like an understatement to say 7.1/DXP is much harder than 6.2, by a lightyear.

Is anyone actually building anything in it? My prediction is Liferay will be out of business in 5 years. There is no real dialogue with developers. The official docs are very basic and unhelpful. This product is completely unusable at this state and I just don’t see getting to the point where new users will pick it up and be able to produce something like they were with 6.2

And I say this after using liferay since 2012. I really hope they take a long look at their product but honestly it’s too late now. They held hands with OSGI and jumped off that cliff. RIP

Hey "Jaison", if you're going to copy the troll post from Reddit, you might have at least stopped while you were there to read all of the thoughtful replies that were offered up.
